Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension helps the diverse population of New Jersey adapt to a rapidly changing society and improve their lives and communities through an educational process that uses science-based knowledge and programs. Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hudson County truly enhances the quality of life for residents of New Jersey and brings the wealth of knowledge of the state university to local communities.
We are focused on building strong connections within our community that help empower our youth, foster healthy families, and grow rich environments for our agriculture and natural resources. We aim to improve the quality of life for all residents by addressing emerging issues with modern solutions related to agriculture, food, natural resources, environment, public health, and youth development. All of which is accomplished through the hard work of faculty, staff, and volunteers from 4‑H Youth Development, Family & Community Health Sciences, and Agriculture and Natural Resources.
